HALLOWEEN AROUND THE WORLD
Halloween is mostly seen like an American tradition, but what most of the people ignores is that its origins come from the Celts, on Ireland. The people used to celebrate on November 1st the New Year, because is in this day when summer ends. The Celts believed that the night before New Year, on October 31, the line that somehow it separates the worlds of the living and the dead was erased, so it was the opportunity for dead people to return to earth like ghosts. They called this night "Samhain".

The impact of this celebration in the whole word is giant, it’s the time when most candies are sold and after Christmas, is the second holiday in total sales.
But it is not celebrated in the same way all around the world.
Here are some examples of Halloween traditions in other countries:
Hong Kong
The Halloween celebration in Hong Kong is known as "Yue Lan" that means Festival of the Hungry Ghosts and it is the time when spirits are allowed to return just for 24 hours.
France
Years ago, in this country the people didn't celebrate Halloween, in honor of the greatest ancestors. It is regarded as an "American" holiday in France and was virtually unknown in the country until around 1996.
Germany
In Germany, the people put away their knives on Halloween night. The reason for this is because they do not want to risk harm befalling the returning spirits.
Did You Know...

Conclusions:
Halloween is for many people, just like us, their favorite tradition. Is the moment in were we all remember someone who's already dead, and its cool to celebrate that they were once in here, alive with us. Here in Mexico it’s just like a party, the streets and cementeries get full of color, with the costumes and all that stuff. We also love that on this time, the environment is full of mystery and it’s the perfect moment for the horror movies.
It’s great to know how other countries celebrate this, and we think it would be cool to know and watch it from closer.
